Why I Love Pilates

Originally called Contrology; Joseph Pilates created this unique method of physical exercise in the early 1900's. The Pilates Method uses a variety of apparatus and mat work exercises. Every exercise involves the full body; providing a stretch with support and control. This results in uniform development of the entire body.
Prior to teaching Pilates I was a personal trainer. But the focus in that work was to create a body that looked a certain way. And it just didn't make sense to me. Healthy comes in all shapes and sizes. And healthy means optimal function. Pilates creates a balance of strength, flexibility, and mobility. Its exercise designed for longevity.
Every body is unique and Pilates allows me to tailor the session to your individual needs and guide you to reach your full move potential.
