Last week we talked about the power of morning routines. Now let's talk about the transformative power of an evening ritual!  This is an area that I have struggled with and is still a work in progress for me.

Your evening needs to be more than finishing off the to do list—it’s an opportunity to nurture your mind, body, and soul while setting yourself up for a restful night. And sleep is where the magic happens.  Good sleep restores and repairs all of our bodies systems.  Ask yourself: How can I end my day feeling calm and cared for?

Here are a few simple ideas to inspire your evening:

Reflect on the Day: Take a moment to pause and think about your day. What went well? What are you proud of? What challenges did you overcome? Reflecting helps bring closure to the day and leaves you feeling grounded.

Gratitude Practice: Before you go to bed, think of three things you’re grateful for. This simple act can shift your mindset and bring a sense of peace as you drift to sleep.  I’ve included an Evening Reflection Journaling Page below to help you wind down and nurture your well-being. Use this simple tool to reflect on your day, celebrate small wins, and let go of anything weighing on your mind. Just a few minutes of journaling can bring clarity, calm, and gratitude before you rest.

Nurture Your Skin: Your skincare routine can be more than just a task—it can be a soothing ritual. As you cleanse and moisturize, think of it as a way to care for your body and unwind from the day. I use the EWG Verified Youth Bundle to cleanse and nurture my skin before bed.  Taking care of your skin can take 10 years off your face; neglecting it can add 10!

MELT for Better Sleep: Incorporate a MELT session into your evening. Whether it’s using a soft roller or doing a hand or foot treatment, this practice can calm your nervous system, release tension, and prepare your body for deep, restorative sleep. Join me for the 28 Day Melt Movement Challenge now!

Turn off Screens: Stop the nightly scroll and don't bring your phone into the bedroom. Turning off TVs, phones, and tablets at least 30 minutes before sleep helps reduce blue light exposure, which can interfere with your natural sleep rhythm. Instead, try reading, meditating, or enjoying a cup of herbal tea.

Create a Cozy Space: Dim the lights, diffuse some lavender, and curl up in your pj's with a blanket. Setting a cozy mood signals to your body that it’s time to unwind.

Set Intentions for Tomorrow: Jot down your top priorities or what you’d like to focus on the next day. This simple habit clears your mind and helps you feel organized.

There’s no right or wrong way to create an evening ritual. The key is to choose small, intentional actions that nurture YOU. Whether it’s 5 minutes or 30, these moments of care can transform how you feel at the end of the day.
