When Life Gives you Lemons...Use them to Elevate your Wellness!

Life sometimes gifts us things we would rather not have. But remember; they are gifts. Lets begin with lemons! It's funny how we can hear something a hundred times and agree but not do anything with the information. Well that was the case with lemons. I can't even guess how many times I've been told about the benefits of lemon water but yet I would walk by them in the grocery store. Well there are lemons in my fridge now!


I was at a wellness conference recently and the lemon message was repeated by a naturopathic doctor, a doctor of Chinese medicine, a holistic nutritionist, and an essential oil practitioner. Go buy lemons!


Getting the benefits of lemons is simple...first thing in the morning; drink a glass of warm water with lemon in it! Think of it as your morning dose of sunshine to brighten your day! This simple trick will kick start your metabolism, help with detoxification and boost your immunity!


An added benefit of lemon water is the soothing effect it can give to a sore throat. I've picked up a cold virus and my warm lemon water is keeping my voice speakable!


Part of wellness is being adaptable in any situation and finding ways to live our best life even in times of stress or grief. So as the title says, when life gives you lemons, use them to elevate your wellness!
